Each of the Grabber tools has a preferences setting which can be accessed by double-clicking on the desired tool. Each preference dialog is described below:
 
The Text Grabber‚Ñ¢ Preferences dialog allows you to disable the scrolling Meadows logo icon when QuarkXPress is launched. In addition to this option, it is also possible to enable the Fast Scan Mode. When Fast Scan Mode is enabled, Text Grabber‚Ñ¢ uses a different search method to determine the location of text within the marquee area. This Fast Scanning method can be up to 3 times faster than the standard scanning method. The tradeoff is that, under rare circumstances (such as a heavily kerned character pair which falls at the edge of the marquee area), the Fast Scanning method may be slightly less accurate in determining character positions than the standard method. It is best to first try Text Grabber‚Ñ¢ with Fast Scan enabled. If you have any problems, simply uncheck the Fast Scan option to use the standard scanning method.
